We’re halfway down the year.
A part of me wants to ask us to reflect on our accomplishments. What have you done in the past 6 months? That do-er side of us, that gets rewarded for our accolades.
But I am reminded of the richness and beauty and depth of non-doing.
Of actually un-doing.
Un-doing so much of what we churn out day in and day out.
And well, I’ve come to realize that I won’t ever fully liberate myself from our humanness. I still have to make money. To pay for my food and shelter. I still have to pay my taxes to support the country I live in. I still need to take daily action for work and think of the progress forward for my future family.
But what we can also do is reflect and bring gratitude beyond the doing, the merits, and accomplishments.
And highlight more of the inner radiant self.
Basking in the self that is intangible, sometimes unexplainable. But oh so alive!
I have returned from co-facilitating and co-leading the Slow Down, Tune In retreat and I can’t quite yet put into words what happened.
I am once again reminded of my devotion to yoga.
Not just the yoga that is stretchy and pose-driven. But the yoga that transcends us.
The word Asana which is often used to describe pose or posture actually means pose or posture to your soul. Your truest Self. Your Higher Self. And I witnessed it again. Within myself. And within our trusted retreat attendees.
Within each and every part of your cells there is radiance, there is also darkness, and there is a place that combines both.
How about reflecting on that and writing down 6 things you’re grateful for from that space, one for each month?
Here’s mine:
I am grateful for the time to slow down, to snuggle, and the act of staying warm. Winter, winter clothes, snow days are not the enemy.
I am grateful for 90-minute in-person yoga classes. Something I thought was lost but I found it in my new Chicago neighborhood.
I am grateful to say I’m a poet, even if it feels like I’m such a faker or fraud when I say it out loud.
I am grateful for routines. My body craves consistency.
I am grateful for the shadow that shows up with identity and claiming a new age.
I am grateful for everyone’s humanness. We are all so vastly different, yet so similar in our turbulences and doubts. We are all deserving.

For Mindful Marketing
Mindful marketing may sound like two opposing things. On the one hand, mindful alludes to quiet, compassionate, and not so much in-your-face. Whereas marketing, or more traditional forms of marketing, alludes to being loud, staying competitive, and standing out amongst the crowd.
In today’s fast-paced and digitally driven world, it’s tempting to amp up your marketing to be even more fast, and in-your-face. But can there be a different approach?
Humans more than ever are at a tipping point. Bombarded with ads. Overstimulated and dopamine-induced.
Mindful marketing goes beyond traditional approaches by emphasizing authentic communication, building meaningful connections with customers, and nurturing a resilient and impactful business.
In this blog, we’ll explore the key elements of creating a mindful marketing strategy and how they can transform your approach to business and marketing. Keep Reading!
