Loving Warmth is You
February's Journaling Club + Meditation on Paper in March
Sitting here pouring tea, watching the air bubbles form and slowly burst as it sit stills.
My mind feels similar, little thought bubbles forming of everything I want to write to you today. It seems like none of them want to burst. Trying to cultivate more patience to see what is here in this moment.
The quieter I get, the closer I get to questioning whether I’m depressed.
Why does each thought bubble go down a negative path?
Why is happiness so hard to hold at times?
We all have a little storm cloud above us at various points of time or day or years.
We don’t know the inner workings of anyones mind.
Yet acknowledging all of that feels like the most loving act for myself and for others.
And so try saying YES.
Not to the typical things we expect to hear to say yes to — like yes to booking that trip to Greece.
Or yes to the dress.
{Both important in their own right though!}
It’s yes can I
Sit in silence and see what arises. Not even meditating or doing something meditative-like. Literally sitting in silence.
It’s yes can I
Acknowledge a little emotional bubble wanting to arise if I don’t distract myself with watching something while I eat.
Finally after each air bubble burst in my tea, I take a sip and receive this warm, earthy reminder that this loving warmth now lives within me.
While I may initially feel separate from the water and the plants that make up my tea, the moment I take it in, WE (water + plants + me) are now one.
And that loving warmth is now me as well.
So, say yes to each thought bubble.
Say yes to waiting until they burst.
Say yes to little storm clouds or little sun rays above you.
— Because either side of the spectrum, acknowledging without distracting is your own warm medicine.
I have a few ways for us to gather and connect these next few weeks both virtually and in person (full details at the end). I hope to see you there!

If you enjoyed reading this, give it a little heart — that means a lot to me and getting it read across Substack.
△ Dancing is Healing. Resting is Healing.
One is not better than the other. Both are essential for a regulated nervous system! Playlists for both.
No writing experience necessary. We’ll start with a brief 5 minute guided meditation, followed by 25 minutes of writing time — writing prompt provided. Mid-way a second prompt will be dropped into the chat, in case you need more. Free or pay what you want.
As we begin to turn the corner toward spring, like all potential blooming flowers, our intentions also need to be planted. We’ll begin with various writing prompts and reflective techniques to help you clarify your Sankalpa (heart-felt intentions)—giving shape and language to what you’re truly ready to nurture.
From there, we’ll move into a nurturing and grounding Yoga Nidra practice, inviting you into a liminal, receptive state where the ego mind softens and the intuitive heart can expand. This is a space where intentions don’t just get written down, but felt, embodied, and anchored, allowing you to leave with clarity, calm, and intentions you can return to long after the workshop ends.
Complementary journal to everyone that attends!
